Picked this guy up last year for next to nothing, with a seized engine. After several unsuccessful attempts as un-sticking it, I found a good used one. actually, better than the original, with an aftermarket intake and carb, and a variated transmission (essentially an early predecessor of a CVT). The new engine was a 12v, and the rest of the bike was set up for 6V, and the original had one speed, and the new one had a variator, and the wiring was a little different, and the throttle cable had to be made to work with the new carb, but I finally got it all sorted over the weekend.

Still lots to do. Clean out the tank, install front and rear brake cables, rejet the carb, install petcock, fuel line and filter, install air filter, new tires and tubes, new pedal arms and pedals, lots and lots of cleaning and cable/wire management, reinstall side covers, title and registration, but I should have nearly everything I need either in the workshop, or en route via USPS. Hopefully I’ll be on the road in a couple of weeks, and have a fun toy for the summer.
