So I stumbled upon this CL ad. Any one know what the closest car in the picture is? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it.

Its a Fiat 850 Racer with the later model bumper. My first car was a 1968 850 Spider and I wanted a Racer but couldn’t find one at the time.

Nice, I was heading down the French path, but hit a dead end with the Citroën Dyane 6 Serra

No problem. Early 850s usually had no over-riders but I think there may have been aftermarket ones available. You might also look at 850 model images to see the actual headlamps and tail lamps being shared with certain years of another Bertone designed car the Lamborghini Miura.

If its fairly complete it may be worth saving . They are increasing in value at auctions. A complete fair car that fetched $3k running a decade ago now go for close to twice that with some restored ones at $8-10K.

I thought the headlights looked kinda Miura esk, with the black paint under them resembling the Miura “eyelashes”. The swoop of the rear window is also similar.
