Despite taking Thursday and Sunday off, I still managed to work 59.5 hours this week!
Was pretty busy today too, spent pretty much all day working on the Stingray:
added a screw to a power window switch
glued a flexible backing onto the sliding boot on the parking brake lever
glued the headlight knob back on
Got and installed a new thermostat gasket, and used lots of sealant
drained, flushed, flushed, flushed, and filled the rad with new coolant
Put on a new rad cap also, old one was 42 years old
jacked it up, removed wheels, adjusted the parking brake shoes on the rear (stupid drum-in-hat design) tensioned the parking brake cable, and then bled the rear disk brake callipers.
and I went for a lovely troubleshooting drive
So there hopefully won’t be any more coolant leaking on top of the engine, and my parking brake works well enough to hold on a medium hill, which is better than not at all!
And I only needed three trips to Lordco for parts!
In the future:
oil change
diff and trans fluid changes
new tires
fix the interior door pull
find out why the headlights are stuck on high beams
fix reverse lights
run a can of carb cleaner through the carb
I also went and got groceries this evening, though I parked on the far end of the parking lot :p
