I’m not sure actually. It is a 1997 coach edition so maybe that's where those come from.

Hmm I test drove a white 1997 coach edition before I bought my base, and it didn’t have any tips. and the stock mufflers have 90 deg angle ends so someone would’ve had to of at least chopped off the ends to add those tips. Nonetheless it looks fantastic and you’re going to love it, 13mpg city and all :P

Love that colour combo. I actually really wanted that colour combo for mine, but the good Lord knows that driving a black car in El Paso (even with tan interior) is hell on earth for eight months of the year, so I ended up with the almost as pretty two-tone-silver.

With the black leather. Good thing I don’t wear shorts.

I’ve only had mine for about 300 miles and a few weeks, and the oil doesnt look dirty so I’ve yet to change it. http://www.clublexus.com/ has fantastic forums for stuff like this, I’d bet they have one just for what oil to use in the 1uz. Im sure any reputable brand synthetic would be fine though

Oh lol so we're both new. And one of the previous owners ghetto rigged some exhaust tips on with screws. I don't hate how they look but they are rusting.

I’ve been a die hard Mobil 1 user for well over a decade, just because I know the synthetic will last longer (I usually go 5-6k between changes). I’m pretty sure you can’t go wrong with 5W30, although because I live in the desert southwest and regularly see 100+ F temps from late May to early September, I tend to run 10W30 during the summer. I probably don’t need to do that, but it doesn’t seem to hurt.

I ran my MX-6 from 160k to 200k on Mobil 1. Ran the Miata for 120k on Mobil 1. Both engines ran like a Swiss watch the entire time. I bought my LS with 180k on it, and the very next day, I took it to a Wal-Mart to have six quarts of Mobil 1 thrown in. It’s worth every penny, in my opinion.
