Trying to find a place with rent below $800/mo (not incl utilities) isn’t bad. But when you have a dog, a cat, and four cars (and possibly a motorcycle) between two people? Fuuuuuck thaaaaaaat.

Not to be self-righteous here but for your own good, you should probably sell one (or three) of those cars if affording housing is an issue.

The Mustang’s going away, the rest are paid for.

Just because it is paid for doesn’t mean it isn’t cost you Money.

Minimal. $100 a month for both the Miata and Buick in insurance, and they both get the same fuel economy (I shit you not).

I don’t even think you could get a 1 bedroom apartment around here for $800 a month. Maybe a studio apartment.

Kansas is nice like that. Currently have two options that have a garage, driveway, allow pets, etc. one for $625 one for $800. Probably gonna go look at the $800 one because the location is great and it has a huge driveway

Screw Denver. I clearly need to move east.

Here $1000/mo gets you a bedroom and a shared bathroom and if you’re lucky, kitchen access.

This is why my extra cars reside at my parents’. Not for long though. The dogs were no problem though

We’ve got 2 adults, 2 kids, 3 cats, 1 dog, and 3 cars. We got lucky to get a place for $700 a month.

$2 grand here for a pretty crappy 1 bedroom. Such is life.

It’s only cheap because it’s on west side Wichita.

Huh.

My mortgage on a 3-bedroom house w/ 2-car garage costs less than that (suburban Ohio).

Of course, the 2nd bay in the garage is only useful for the grill, lawnmower, etc... as the lot is fairly shallow and the garage is too close to the house to make the turn in.

There’s 2 of us, and we have 3 cars and one dog. Whatever car we’re not using at the time gets the garage.

Buying is a hell of a lot cheaper than renting, and outside of four years from now I dunno if I’m still going to live here so buying makes very little sense.
