Kinja'd!!!

We are talking actual factory backed dealerships that include New car sales, Parts department, and legit Service department. Independent high end/exotic sales lots/galleries are NOT included (excluding Tesla in some states).

Exotics:

Bugatti

1.      !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Alfa Romeo

!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Helfman Alfa Romeo

Helfman Alfa Romeo of Sugarland

Mclaren

Ferrari

Lotus

Star Motor Cars Lotus

Lamborghini

Porsche

Porsche West Houston

Rolls-Royce

“Regular” Brands:

Land Rover : 3

Infiniti : 4

Volvo : 4

Audi : 3

Cadillac : 8

BMW : 6

Lexus : 4

Mercedes-Benz : 7

Acura : 4

Jaaaaaag : 3

That’s it for the dealership count. Again, this doesn’t include all the heap ton of exotic/high end sales lots all over the place that carry all the other crazy expensive brands. Dallas has pretty much the same as Houston including Pagani. Austin and San Antonio has most of the same things as far as exotics (not really but kind of) but not as many of the Regular high end stuff.

There are some rad race teams here also like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , etc. Also, a bunch of those crazy tuning shops from all those douchebag TX2K, Mexico Racing League and 1320 vids shot here.

One Porsche, one Alfa, and that’s it for exotics. Not that you can tell by what we drive.

Of the normal ones, we have one of all of them and two Caddy dealers.

Lynnes Hyundai and Nissan (Fuck them)

BMW of bloomfield

3....yep, 3 total dealerships in my town; none of which are high end. If you wanted to take a 30 minute drive in any direction, then the possibilities are endless

In my town we’ve got a GM dealer.

The Dodge dealership and Ford dealer are both a few minutes out of town.

Annapolis has a new Audi dealership going up across from the Fiat dealer that also sells Alfas....all on a road where the speedlimit is 30mph. Can gawk as I slowly cruise past.

In my town of 1500 people, not even used cars.

In the larger town (largest in the state!) that I’m just outside of, we have the Luxury Auto Mall of Sioux Falls which is a Cadillac, BMW, Mercedes and Sprinter dealership, all on the same lot.

Lincoln, if you consider them “high end” is lumped in with the Ford lot (naturally) and takes up maybe %5-%10 of the inventory.

As in official dealers?

There a honda dealer down the street. We used to have a Chevy/Vauxhall dealer in town but no more.

Sounds bad but my town is part of a larger conurbation in which there are many dealers of many varieties.

There’s a Ferrari dealer that serves the whole of Long Island and Queens that’s 2 minutes from my house, and also a Bentley dealer, a Lambo dealer, and a Rolls-Royce dealer 10 minutes away.

The other day, I saw a Maserati with a “Maserati of Birmingham” decal on it. I think it’s probably just some guy’s garage, and he owns two Maseratis. However, the opposite is true, too — not very many econoboxes. The BMW 3-series and C-Class Merc are extraordinarily common here. Low cost of living = more expensive cars (to a point; and assuming there are dealers...)

Springfield, IL, 1 of all below:

BMW (Dinan as well, but they’re move of an aftermarket brand than an actual company)

Porsche (has/had 9 918's, I’ve seen 7 of them)

Mercedes

Volvo

Cadillac

In Cary, there is Porsche, Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar, Land Rover, Maserati, and Cadillac. Apex has nothing. Fuquay has nothing. Raleigh has all of the dealers mentioned above, plus BMW and Rolls-Royce. There’s also Taggart Autosport in Cary, they sell exotics.

0 My town is so small we don’t even have a dealership

We have like maybe 7 dealerships max in the entire county and most of those are small buy-here-pay-here lots

.5. We have one half-assed part-time Lotus dealer who dabbles in other secondhand exotics but primarily sells Volvos. Otherwise it’s 1 outlet each for Ford/Lincoln, Chevy, GMC, Dodge, VW, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Hyundai, and Cadillac, but they’re all distributed over 6 dealer facilities.

In chicago proper I can only really think of Gold Coast Bentley, but the suburbs have a few. Evanston has an Alfa Dealer, Hinsdale has Continental Autosport which is a Ferrari/Maserati dealer. Westmont has a Lamborghini, Aston, and Porsche dealers.

Just one.

Other car dealers:

Jag/Land Rover (Combined dealer): 1.

Audi: 2

Cadillac: 2

BMW: 2

Lexus: 2

Mercedes-Benz: 2/3 (There’s one that MIGHT be closed, haven’t been in the area for a bit. Last time I was there it was still open but I can’t find any proof online of it actually being open)

Acura: 2

Edmonton doesn’t have very many fancy dealers, for comparison, we’ve got:

Toyota dealers: 5

Ford dealers: 10

Chevrolet dealers: 9

Honda dealers: 4

Hyundai dealers: 6

Population of the entire metro area is 1,159,869, and there are a LOT of small towns around the city. Considering the Big Three like putting dealers in small towns, that’s probably why there are far more American brands than Asian brands or more luxurious brands.

TL;DR: People in Alberta would rather spend their hard earned cash on a big diesel truck than a BMW. Although, in the city, BMWs are quite a common site. Calgary pretty much gets all the cool dealers. They even had a Fisker dealer just off the Trans-Canada (i think it was the transcanada?) at one point.

I’m in the Toronto area. I know there’s one Tesla store... as I’ve personally gone to it. And there is at least one or two Porsche dealers. There is probably a Lambo and Ferrari dealer.

And all the regular brands are here.

But as for numbers of how many, I’m too lazy to check. Can you do it for me?

Within the city limits of San Francisco, just one:

Bentley, Lamborghini, Pagani, Lotus +Jaguar/Land Rover

expanding to the suburbs:

Porsche - Mill Valley

Porsche - Burlingame

Porsche - Livermore

(There’s 6 other porsche dealers, not going to bother hyperlinking them all)

Ferrari & Maserati - Mill Valley

McLaren - Palo Alto

Honorable mentions: Toyota SF has an LFA. Nissan SF always has multiple GTR’s. BMW SF has 6-8 i8's. Mercedes SF should always have at least 1 AMG GT. Audi SF always has a special edition R8.
