I hate my commute. I loathe my commute. Alas, I’m too cheap to move closer to work, home equity is a good things folks. I really love my bike. Like conjugal a visit with Christy Mack, Jenna Haze, and Lisa Ann at the same time, love. I have feelings, deep seated feelings that cannot be explained by logic.

My bike turns my commute from a sentence to a experience to be savored. I’ve gone from terrible puns, analogies, and bad jokes on local sports talk radio to pinging the fuel cutoff just to hear the snap, crackle and pop on the overrun. The wail on a full throttle run up to 14K rpm is more addicting than doing lines off of a stripper.

It is a strenuous task to not be a raging asshole in traffic, weaving in and out for my own pleasure.

Yep, feelings. Deep, wondrous, marriage counseling to prevent a divorce feelings.

Potato pics from the ride in.

Anyone else ride in to work this morning?

I didn’t ride to work, but I did listen to the mechanical sounds of my car rather than the radio. You know, just to make sure it isn’t going to leave me stranded.

I really need to fix my bike :-/

I only have a 250 Ninja, but the feelings are the same. Often times school stresses me out, but a quick trip out to the twisty back roads are all I need. I'm anxiously looking forward to graduating next year and getting a bigger bike.

I like my commute home. It’s right by the ocean, so it’s very scenic. I also enjoy fantastic weather for 3/4ths of the year. Lastly I have a convertible.

Go me. :)

I don’t think I’ll ever sell my bike. Unless I can buy a Panigale, then maybe.

:(

I got rid of all my motorcycles. Wife thinks I have better chances of living until retirement if I don’t have one ever again. Our compromise was a third car, so I bought an Abarth 500 Convertible. I drove that this morning with the roof down, and in reality, it is a very nice compromise. With the very unpredictable weather in Colorado, I get to drive this way more often that I would get to ride a bike, so I can’t complain.

Every time I hear a Ducati or a Triumph, my heart does skip a beat..

I think once I get a 600 I'll be happy. Either way, there's a feeling bikes give me that nothing else does. I try to explain but non-bike people don't understand it. I never thought I'd be a bike guy until I got my first one.

I'd like to ride a bike to work, but people here (Philly metro area) have their head so far up their asses that it'd only be a matter of time before I was road pizza. I'd do it for the gas savings alone. But one thing I do find pretty bogus is that bikes don't get a discount on the Delaware River Bridges. Still 5 bucks whether you're on a bike or in an F350. I just don't get that logic.

I think it’s something you have to experience to understand. And maybe not everybody has it. I don’t know. But yeah. Fast cars, fast planes, fast boats, all great, but none of them are the same as bikes.

Totally agreed. I’ve been in my fair share of cars (big turbo Evo, 510ci built F100, M3 GTS around the Nurburgring, etc...) but none can compare to the bikes I’ve been on. I think you might need to at least partially be a Petrolhead to get it. I’d bet my girlfriend would hate having her own (even though I’m trying to get her to buy one). But who knows, maybe she will.

Yep! It’s been a little chilly this spring, which is really tough on a car that doesn’t like the cold. I had it out last night and it was in the 40s - it never got up to normal operating temperature even after ~10 minutes of idling and ~30 minutes of driving.

I’m going to be ordering some goodies in the next couple of days that should hopefully make a big difference in performance. I don’t really want to change the thermostat since I’d rather have it run cold in spring than run hot all summer.

Here’s a picture from a GORGEOUS day a couple of weekends ago. It would have been a perfect day for the bike... dang it.

It’s a ways out there, but the pricing isn’t bad and it seems pretty well-run.

I’ve had my ninjette for 5 years now. I’ve ridden more powerful bikes and thought about replacing it, but on back roads, in some turns, its pretty hard to beat being able to go 10/10ths and barely break the law.
