Everyone is “mashing” or “collaborating” with something these days. Paul McCartny** (ey?) is a prime example.

Eh. She’s actually really schooled in not just the pop stuff. If it’s Crazy Mary esque or something along the lines of Stop Dragging My Heart Around I’ll be ok with it.

Bob Marley is a victim here;)

is this going to be another one of those threads where people whine about the number of instruments someone can or can’t play and wrap it up in dogwhistle racism?

Being schooled and getting schooled seem to be opposites. Why is that?

Iirc, You didn’t grow up with pearl jam. I didn't grow up with pearl jam and I'm nearly 30.

The songs had been out for quite a while, but when I was six or seven I heard Jeremy for the first time on the radio.

You may not like Beyonce but I don’t really think she’s a musician who can be labeled “crap.” She’s talented. Drake on the other hand, Drake is crap. The popularity of his whiny nasal voice and irritating beats perpetually confuses me.

Drake is ass.

I’m not sure. She’s been “manufactured” from the beginning while PJ was an ad hoc group put together when hair metal was dying off and musical tastes were changing. Pearl Jam just keeps chugging along.
Best concert I ever saw was them at the Gorge.

I was at The Gorge for... what was it called... the stupid concert every summer... anyway, worst lineup ever. Hawthorn Heights, Coheed, Starting Line... I left after two hours. Someone told me the year before they had Blink, Offspring, and others. Fuuuck me.

Warped Tour. I took my wife (then only dating a week) it was NOFX, Rise Against, Against Me!, and a Rancid. I figured if she's going to get to know me that would be a good setting. She stuck around so that's something

It was already there and well established when you started listening to music. It’d be like me saying I grew up with the Beatles or Led Zeppelin. Yeah they were consistently on the radio as I was growing up but they weren't of my time.

It was still what I listened to growing up...... Even if it was already well established.

Eh. Eddie Vedder is nowhere near almighty, and grunge was never very good to begin with. And I actually grew up with the stuff.
