I hate Ted Cruz, but at least he’s an actual politician.
Jesus christ, this is getting kind of sad.

Who do you vote for now? HUH?!!! WHO?!?!
![]() 05/03/2016 at 21:01 |

Whichever Democrat gets the nomination. Speaking of which, who are YOU voting for? Aren’t you a Marco Yugioh guy?

I may have to vote for Hillary. The thought of Cheetohs McCombover having control of the military isn’t particularly appealing.
On the other hand, it would make Rs and Ds in Congress unite against a common foe.

I have a contingency plan, come election day. I’ll vote third party, then, when the winner is announced. I’ll get my friends, have them all be with me, have one of them pull an “Of Mice and Men” on me. Then everyone at my funeral gets a stun gun, last person standing, gets my Cadillac.
Not an optimistic plan, but it’s certainly more optimistic than this fucking election.

I'm good with nothing happening. Just pass some balanced budgets, then everyone sit down and STFU until the next time a budget needs to be passed.

I ain’t mad. You know what would make many here mad? If enough Bernie supporters opt to not vote in the election, or vote for Trump out of spite. You know, like how some people think will actually happen.
NOW YOU MAD?

That’s what my history teacher (awesome guy, very conservative) says. However I honestly think the Republican Party might could use a big ole fracture (which will probably happen if trump gets elected). Most of them are just a bunch of softies who always end up compromising with the left and acting like losers even when they win. Other than some political instability, what's seriously the worst thing that can happen if the party splits?

How would voting for Kasich stop Trump? He was mathematically eliminated from winning quite a while ago.
![]() 05/03/2016 at 21:28 |

Well to be fair, as long as Trump doesn’t reach the 1237 delegates he needs to clench the nomination, the GOP can still choose Kasich. If both Cruz and Kasich supporters vote Kasich, hopefully it can slow down Trump.

I am legitimately frightened by the number of reasonable, moderate conservative friends I have who are saying, “well, we don’t love Trump, but at least he’s not Hillary so I guess he’s who we’ll vote for.”
![]() 05/03/2016 at 21:34 |

I don’t think that the GOP would split. HOWEVER, if some convention drama occurs, I could see Trump running independent a la Perot and handing the victory to Clinton. If she follows in her husband’s line of thinking (moderate D), it wouldn’t be a bad thing for anyone.
I do think, however, that Bernie has moved portions of the party to the far left. So much so, that the next midterm election will see a lot of candidates following in Sanders’ footsteps ideologically. Think of it as the Ying to the Tea Party’s Yang. And I'm not a fan of non-moderate positions, as no party has a monopoly on good ideas.

The TV ads will just be video of her sitting quietly in a chair and the radio ads will just be audio of her breathing.

No one would have said Cruz was an actual politician prior to Trump running for prez. This is a guy who read green eggs and ham in front of congress, and who thinks some magical sky God speaks to him and his family about American politics. At least trump believes in something real (money).
![]() 05/03/2016 at 21:40 |

When Cruz jumped on the Michigan Bathroom Bandwagon, in my eyes, Cruz became more despicable than Trump. By a margin.
Early in Trump’s ascendancy, before any of us took him as anything like a serious threat, the thing I said I liked first and foremost about DT was that he was spanking Ted Cruz’s ass. Raw.

Trump is also not Ted Cruz. Cruz is a nasty evangelical homophobe and whatever the outcome, I will always be glad that Donald Trump kept Ted Cruz out of the Whitehouse. And I’ll make this call right now: there are going to be lots of disaffected Americans on Election Day who are going to yell
WTF
and tell the entire globe to kiss their American Ass while they pull the Trump lever. Enough to beat Hillary? I can’t say, but there will be plenty. The WTF vote.

I highly doubt she’ll follow in Bill’s footsteps though. I mean just listen to her! Fun fact: Bill Clinton once said “the era of big government is over.” And yeah ole GW was right about political parties. I guess it is kind of a necessary evil though.

I'm genuinely afraid for the future of our country and I hate feeling this way. Trump is a damn psycho and can't understand anything due to his constantly threatened ego. And we have established that Clinton has trouble being honest. I can't believe it's come down to her and Trump.

the GOP still doesn’t like Trump at all, he is doing even worse damage to their image, not that it’s been the best but it’s worsening with this.
![]() 05/04/2016 at 09:24 |

Yes, but they’ve been pandering to the lowest common denominator (see Sarah Palin) for a while now, and many in their ranks aren’t any different than Trump. The only real difference between Trump and Cruz is that Trump is more vocal.
![]() 05/04/2016 at 09:35 |

I mean there are moderates out there as well in the group that are voices of reason but get drowned out, but I see what you mean.

I don't even like Obama and this is better option than these jokers getting into office. I think we should have a re-do and come back next year. Let's be serious this time,

The sad thing is a lot o the moderates have been pandering as well. Let's not forget that it was John McCain who named Palin as his VP choice. McCain is practically a liberal even compared to Kasich.
