Not sure whether to point and laugh or applaud.

How many times do I have to say this? Kill it with fire.

I’ll see your ‘79 and raise you a ‘76 that I saw today. Glorious condition, says I. Containing an oddball 5.7L V8 with 8 injectors instead of TBI.

I think the oddity here is not so much that there’s a well-preserved Seville, but that the man in the original post has survived 37 years on pure cocaine. Someone who was daffy enough not only to buy a Grandeur conversion in the first place, but to keep it all this time and venerate it as the height of fashion - having kept it pristine - and now wants ten large for it.

I’d rather have the ‘76, above. But I agree. Are there really spare tires in those wheel holders on the fenders? And the horns on the hood are worth at least five racks.

I think it’s just fiberglass with spare hubcaps screwed on. At least the Grandeur in the post is a sedan and not an Opera Coupe. Them’s some seriously fucky proportions. Also, Grandeur’s grill “improvement”, land sakes.

worth at least five racks.

You misspelled “rocks”. As of le crack.

HAHAHA! That thing is so ugly that I would definitely drive it for the laughs. I mean, that white one is actually kind of cool. Like you said, laugh or applaud? I bet it cost buck$ when it was new. Get one of those and swap an LS7? That would be genuinely fun.

The sky’s the limit for an engine, really, since they seemingly moved back the firewall in the course of their butchery. Sticking in an aero-engine, though, is just recreating the famous John Dodd Beas t, and an LS7 is really just retreading old Cadillac ground. How about something that bolts easily to a Chevy AT bellhousing - the Jag V12? You can bore them out to 7.4L or so...

The E Z Pawn makes the perfect backdrop for this car.

My idea would be like fifteen large. Yours would be five times that.

Hey, terrible ideas need to fester long and meatily with proper funding to become atrocities.

I’m very intrigued by the “blue tittle.” I don’t know if it sounds sexy, or painful, but he has my attention.

You and I may have different objectives here. For my part, I am sick of unrealized pipe dreams, so I tend to slouch toward the plausible.

I hate unrealized pipe dreams, but I love thought exercises, so the difficulty is to pose something just wild enough that it would be more likely completed than never. The only thing sadder than something that somebody hasn’t tried is something started and lost.
