Fun fact: It’s called a floppy DISK and not a floppy DISC because disk is short for diskette, the other name for a floppy disk.

I’m really bummed that my copy of windows 3.1 on floppy disappeared when my family moved some years ago

I have a few 5 and 8 inch floppies around here somewhere. I think the 8 inchers were from an old IBM minicomputer that a company that I used to work for had before I was hired. I also have a new in box, complete with shrink wrap, Windows 3.1 with IBM logos on it. I’m not sure why they had those but I thought it was kind of cool so I grabbed one. I should have grabbed one of the big ass hard drives they had laying around too. Big as in physical size, not storage space.

When my great-uncle kicked the bucket a few years ago, we cleaned out his place and I found a New in Box copy of (what I believe was) Windows 3.1 or 2.1. My memory fails me as to which it was.
JRapp: now as good as new again
