GF’s old truck cap’s rear window broke a few years ago, she and her dad cobbled together a plywood and plexiglass replacement, and now the wood has rotted though and the damn thing fell off. Rather than make another shitty half-assed replacement window she found a used cap with good windows for $250. so we bought it. we knew the old cap had been sliding around a bit because it was never properly affixed, but upon removal we saw just how terribly scuffed the top of her bedrails were, so we went to Home Despot, bought some shit and did a quicky (really quick, really dirty) sand, prime, and bed-liner job. we also ground out most of the rusty patches in her bed and covered the bare metal with Rustoleum prime-and-paint-in-one-anti-rust that doesnt QUITE match the color. it looks like shit. but it shouldn’t rust too badly too fast ;)

cheap-ass Ryobi one+ grinder does a satisfactory job, and uses the batteries I already had for the weed-whip. no, that gold doesnt quite match

that shit ain’t cheap, yo! (also, needs more rust repair, it will mostly have the cap on, so it’ll probably rust from the bottom first anyway...)
