Basically nothing left of anything near the rear sill. This is after grinding back the rust to find clean metal. Then I got angry before I even found any metal good enough to weld to. Needs loads of patching in some super awkward to access places. Fuck.

We don’t have any money to replace it so I’m attempting to patch it up as best I can. My dads money management is... poor.

Good luck, can’t you get some donor panels to patch it up? Or have all micra’s rotted at exactly the same spot?

I’d imagine they’d be rotten too. I’m getting some steel sheet in the morning to make my own patches.

Theyre ganging up on us I think. On the bright side I should be a pretty decent welder by the time this is fixed, same for 4muddyfeet if he tackles that Skoda himself.

Yeah haha. I managed to weld the sill onto the micra but didn’t do a proper repair. Its just so we can drive it till the MOT runs out then scrap it. It does mean I’ve got a bit of practice though.
