Just got around to listening to this one.
I’ve been a Fast Lane Daily viewer for a few years now, since before Drive was a thing. I didn’t start visiting Jalopnik regularly until 2014, when Kinja was already in place. It’s neat to learn more about its earlier days.
Always a pleasure to see familiar names pop up. Just a few days ago, I made a reference to Drive’s Le Mans LiveStream from 2012. Back then, I hadn’t even heard of Orlove. Small world! (Just where did Raph go , anyway?)

Thanks! Glad you’re listening & enjoying them you don’t know how much that really means to get great feed back like this. I was quite pleased with the episode and very humble that the great Spinelli was speaking with me. The only reason I keep getting these great guys and gals to come on is because of listeners like yourself. Your voice seems a bit muffled in this one. Audio issues? Or a cold, maybe?
In a recent episode, it sounded much clearer, and at the time I thought you had gotten a new microphone. IIRC, you said it was just that you had recovered from a cold. This episode sounds much like those earlier ones.

Yeah having a kid has become a perpetual chain of getting colds, and now we are in allergy season in Maryland

I think Alex Roy's episode should be pretty cold and allergy free.
