Well, the Buick was impacted at the bumper (designed to be hit), whereas the Impala was impacted on the front fender (distinctly not designed to be hit).

I’m not auto-crash expert, but it looks like our guy in the Buick was travelling down the road and the Impala pulled out in front. The Buick hit the brakes, but it was too late - *crunch.*

Although, I am wondering how the Impala had damage on both front fenders...maybe prior damage?
