So many of you have probably seen the viral Facebook quiz/applet/dumbfuckery that has taken over the platform. I’ve noticed one a couple times (which is a lot since I check Facebook maybe twice a week). This particular one features a “future you post” that would make many around here facepalm. Screenshotted and blurred below:
Ugh.
What’s worse, that in 10 years Lotus and Ferrari could potentially be competing in the same space (assuming both are new), that Lotus could not be British, or that a Jaguar could compete with either one (barring a return of the XJ220)?

I don’t know, with THAT Ferrari, I’m OK with the comparison. Thinking a company named “Lotus” isn’t British is also a pass for me. And I would take an F-type R, XF-RS, XK-RS, or XJR over either just due to personal preference.

Lotus had already competed with Ferrari by offering the Esprit until the early 2000s. The final versions of the Esprit were absolutely competitive with what Ferrari offered.
