This was above-average camera work, and weirdly satisfying to watch.

Right? Landscape mode, camera generally held steady and pointed at the subject of the video.

Begins at the beginning of the action - ends at the end of the action. This guy gets it.

The true meaning of grounded to the ground.

Obsiviouly that’s not a tow truck that I’ve seen in the USA, it doesn’t look like it would lift a full size truck either.

Seriously. In the age of camera phones, our standards have really dropped. People don’t realize that landscape, plus leaning against something solid for stability, can make all the difference.

It’s in Austria, and probably designed for stuff like this:

That’s what I figured, the Maybac is one hell of a tank/car. An average euro car is like a sub compact in the US.

It was, before it ended production, the longest and heaviest current production car in the world.

You’d of thought they would of done a cursory search of the vehicle’s weight before trying to lift it with their crane.

I mean it’s a standard thing to do to make sure your crane is suitable and won’t be overloaded.

Parking enforcement in urban Austria has also probably never had to tow anything that heavy before. But yeah you’d think they’d check.

You’ve always got to keep the P’s in mind.

Most HIABs on flatbed trucks are rated for 2 tonnes max, if that gives you any indication? I have no idea what the average American truck weighs

6500-7500 lbs (3300 kilos) for your average american truck depending on configuration. Our work truck, a 4-dr Chevy 2500 HD w/ 4wd and 6.6L diesel is advertised at 7,300 lbs curb weight.
