Some random actress I happen to really like revealed that she recently got arrested for DUI and being involved in an accident with injury while drunk. For all the time she spends promoting Uber on Twitter and Snapchat and healthy lifestyles and having been in a relationship with someone who can’t drive anymore because of that behavior it’s extremely disappointing and she really should know better. Unless you live in one of those weird cities that insists on banning Uber, and even so, there’s no excuse to drive drunk in today’s world.

Uber on twitter/snapchat: Uber credits yo.
The ironies in some people’s lives are very astounding.

There is no excuse for drink driving. People who drink drive are selfish gits who think the law and common sense don’t apply to them.
Even before Uber, etc... there was taxis, buses, friends, etc...
I have and will in the future phone the police on anyone drink driving be they family, friend or stranger.

It’s late here, about 0100. I’m still figuring out what it meant to speak at the sentencing (a couple of months ago) of the drunk driver who murdered my brother. That was the most recent in a string of some of the most difficult things I’ve done, not likely to end soon. I don’t think I’ll ever quite solve that puzzle, always a shifting and partially completed picture put off in deference to helping the surviving family. There is no excuse for driving drunk, with or without injury or death. Not in this age, not in even modestly developed countries. We, all of us, know better; we must do better.

Honestly, I’d be willing to bet that a cop with some free time would be happy to give you a ride home (in a non-arresting you for driving yourself situation) if it means you won’t be driving drunk.

Many police won’t for various reasons often legal ones.
If people are arranging a night out, part of that arrangement should be how they will get home afterwards. I realise plans can change as the night goes on but such a selfish act of drink driving should never be one a fall back option.

Gonna let you in on a little secret: most celebrities are hypocrites.
That's gonna leave a mark!

Don’t know how to “amen” that strongly enough. Sometimes it reminds me of that old marketing rule, advertise, promote the thing you actually lack the most to overcome the perception in the consumer’s mind - Quality is job 1, Just like home made! etc.

Not in the U.S. lol. Unless, you are in an area where public intoxication is legal, you’ve successfully called the cops on yourself.
