I ran a 4 by 200 meter relay today. My team won harder than early 2000's Ferrari. Not having access to a car means I have to get speed from the ol’ Mark 1 legs.

I used to be 3rd leg on our 4x400 team. We got wrecked one time in a section meet by a team that trotted out 3 kids running sub 50s (one was 48.x!). Our team want slow, but damn. I still remember that ask these years later.

With hurdles in the way i was at 60, never ran a 400 out of the blocks, but I was probably where you are (similar 200 time, too). That was competitive in suburban NY, but once you brought in the schools from just north of NYC in the larger meets, it got real ugly.

My coach said before our meet today that we would have 800 kids. That's like, 100 less people than are in our entire school. It was a goddamn sea. And we still won. Probably due to the fact that it's a frosh-soph meet with separated Freshman and Sophmore heats. My team is all freshmen like me

I was forced to run a 4x200 once. I never returned. That’s why I stick to Pole Vaulting.

My team has like two or three pole vaulters. Earlier just this week somehow we won all the events except for the 100 meters (because our sprinters kinda suck) and somehow lost the meet on field events. Some buuuullshit right there. Tonight, however, I think the rekkitude was at too high a magnitude to lose.

I, not being of the running type, was a thrower. However, at our home meets we would do a “fat man’s 400" to allow the home runners extra cool down time.

Well we typically lose on everything but the 1600 and the 800, and sometimes we get first or second in Pole Vault. We have a massive 2 day meet today and tomorrow so we’ll see how it goes.

Dude, having a good relay team is the best. Our 4x800 team can destroy anyone they put us against. We took 2nd in the country out of the slow heat at Indoor Nationals.
