Is the first one yours? It is incredibly polished.

The first one looks increbily sick indeed! Let’s just say that mine is... daily driven haha. I never wash my cars...

Yours looks super clean too, especially for a daily. Consolation, I like your color combo way better!

haha, thx. It took me a while to get used to the color, but it’s a truly fun car... I’ll do a full review of it later on.
If you want to see it in action (Harry’s laptimer test video I did a a little while back... Review will have more extensive track day/daily/mountain driving)... It’s the 12a turbo engine.

That black one (#22) ticks all my childhood “awesome car” boxes.

It’s a shame Mazda couldn’t get the lightweight FR rotary thing to work. It’s a great idea. Like an MX-5 but better!

Well, they did and it worked VERY well (nearly half a million of SA22C sold worldwide...). The next generations of cars just got fatter, but it’s Mazda’s fault :)

I guess fatter cars doesn’t suit rotaries so well.
I thought the biggest problem with the cars was the rotary itself. It got a horrendous reputation for unreliability and excessive consumption and it seems like that was its biggest enemy.

Oh gas consumption is TERRIBLE. Not just bad. AW-FUCKING-FUL! lol. My average fuel economy with mine is 15.59L/100km or 15 MPG. and that’s driving normally. If I have fun the mountains, it goes up to 30L/100km (8mpg) and at the track, it can go all the way to 50L/100km, which equals the gas consumption of a Lamborghini cruising at 250kmh lol :)
Reliability is not too bad really. The average guy just doesn’t know how to take care of it and is not meticulous enough to own such an engine. As far as bigger cars go, the Mazda Cosmo is a GREAT car, very fast, weight 1.5 to 1.6 tons and has a 20b engine, so it does alright on bigger cars :)

Yeah that’s disgusting. Compare with an (almost) competitor, my conventional-engined MR2 is more like 8l/100km in mixed driving.
I have heard they’re okay if you care for them properly. But it’s the reputation that’s the problem - it affects sales which drives down the profitability of the whole thing.
Hey you’re right about those Cosmos!
