Always get the rental insurance and I actually followed it and always do.
That’s my weird automotive thought of the day.

If you have auto insurance that will cover rental, or get an AmEx and that will also cover rental insurance.

Things I didn’t know either. Just make sure to check with your auto insurance/cc before you do. Can save you money!

I’ve got a Visa card that offers rental insurance too, along with coverage from my car insurance. Check your existing credit card, and remember that to get the coverage you need to use that particular card to pay for your rental to get the coverage.

Since they listed AmEx and Visa, I’ll let you know certain MasterCard’s do too. It’s more about the financial institution it’s through than it is the CC logo on the front.
Gotta check those details, my CitiBank card even gets me pre-sale concert tickets!
