Not bad at all. Nobody was injured.
I pulled into a parking lot last night to make a u-turn because I missed a turn dropping my 3 friends home, and there was this curb that nobody saw. My car drove over it and the driver’s side wheel well (fender liner, thanks guys) was completely torn out of the car. The driver’s side steelie was bent and my bumper has a giant crack and popped out. I managed to pop the bumper in and put a spare tire. I am really pissed that it happened, but I’m thankful that it’s light, easy-to-repair damage. Does anyone know a ball-park for 2006-2011 Honda Civic wheel wells?

By “wheel well” do you mean fender liner?

I’m not exact on what it’s called, it’s the part I highlighted in pink. It’s like a plastic peice to keep water and stuff from going up there.

The “wheel well” portion you’re referencing (the fender liner) should be pretty cheap. Like $25 on Ebay cheap.

If that donut spare is on the front wheel, swap it with one of your rear wheels. As it sits you’ll create a lot of extra heat in the differential with the 2 tires being different sizes. If you’re only going to be driving around for a day or two then this will be fine, otherwise swap it with a rear wheel.

I am actually putting on my summer tires on in about 20 minutes. Thank god friday might be the last day of snow, and I’ll avoid driving that day if possible.

lol yeah that’s your fender liner. Shouldn’t cost you too much to replace, and you can likely install it yourself (idk how handy you are with car repairs)

Yeah I just found out what it’s the fender liner via google lol. I watched a tutorial. It doesn’t seem to hard, I can do it with a friend. And the part is $30 with shipping on ebay.

Absolutely scared the living shit out of all of us because not a single one of us saw the curb. The weird thing is the passenger side has no damage, at all. The passenger side hit the curb first.
Every accident i’ve been in has been in awful weather. I think the worst part of this was the freezing cold weather.

Good deal! Now you can replace that ‘totaled’ bumper with a Mugen unit. ;)

The funny thing is, I just put on a front lip two fridays ago (you can see a bit of it) and I had this fear I would hit a curb, reverse, and my whole entire front bumper would tear off. When I hit this curb and drove completely over it (it was one of those stupid parking lot curbs that have no reason to exist), my first thought was that the front pump tore off. The front bumper just got cracked because it got stretched out of position from the curb

Honda inner fender wells are goddamn expensive. Look on CARiD or some similar aftermarket replacement part website. Not even joking, had an old coworker that did the same thing, cost him very dearly.
As for the wheel itself, depending on how bent the wheel is, you may be able to get it repaired at a wheel place.

I saw someone do this in a beetle on my way to work. Hit the median so hard and jumped the whole thing. Sparks and parts went flying. I was laughing too hard to see.
