$38,980. Holy shit 993s are expensive. No thankyou. I will take a pretty nice 911 SC for that price.
At least it’s manual? No, it’s not. Though I’m not a manual purist, I’d say it’s necessary for a 993 911.

I don’t like how these look, much rather have an SC. My friend has a 996 and it costs a lot to maintain and it’s not worth selling.

On a scale of 1 - Nuked From Orbit, how dead would I be if I admitted on Oppo that I want an RWB 993?

I would end you a little bit.
Raised ride height and less retarded body panels, then I’d like them.

“I will take a pretty nice 911 SC for that price.”
You haven’t seen SC prices lately have you. If that 993 was a manual it would be listed for 15-20 grand more.

Maybe for a targa approaching 200k miles, with a crappy respray. A good one is $50k now.

Prices for any air-cooled car are just bullshit hilarious now. Even looking at a ‘8X 3.2 Carrera, for what they are going for I might as well get a M235I if I want a manual rwd sporty car. Hell, even staying in the brand, I could get a clean 996 Turbo for around the same prices or cheaper depending on the example you look at. Yeah I know, air-cooled analog classic porsche blah blah blah but still, it’s not really worth it anymore. I hope the bubble bursts soon.

Wait until you see mine if I ever get it (911SC) :)
It was abandonned for quite a few years after a small accident. Frame is perfectly straight, but full body had to be changed. It is a budget restoration, in order to get a mechanically perfect 911, but without (for now at least) giving a crap about the cosmetic. As of right now, it is two-tone and most likely won’t get a respray anytime soon :)
Positive side of thing, it has 40000 miles on the clock and a LSD will be installed. It would also be my very first Porsche!!

I really like the idea of a BRZ with a 4.0 GT3 engine in it.

Honestly, who wouldn’t? Sounds great.
Well, unless you’re the one driving a 911 with a 2.0L 4 cylinder.

I’m with ya. You can for sure get better cars for the $$, it’s just a matter of the price bubble.
