I must resist temptation to test drive an older Charger.
My favorite color on em:

They’re junk. Don’t do it.

You are the Toyota guy, lots of things are “junk” compared to the Rock solid reliability of a Toyota.

My Dad got to borrow one last week, and we were both kind of underwhelmed.

Very true, but these Dodges are the absolute worst of them all.

Highly likely that will be the case. Although, I have driven a Magnum around a little bit.
However, it seems like the perfect car for the long, boring roads around these parts.

Ummm ... it’s held together by cobwebs and moonbeams. It drinks gas. It’s bound to eat tires at an astonishing rate. It won’t go ‘round corners. No warranty. It’s fat. It’s silly looking. Did I mention that it weighs a lot?

jet fuel cant melt steel moonbeams.

So if someone flies a plane into the car, you’re safe. Score one for the Charger.

It’s a Chrysler product.
Right now, Chrysler’s quality is at an all-time high. And it’s still shit.

This was a 2011 or 2012, so it had the updated interior, but not the 8 speed. The quality was pretty nice, but it was louder than my lifted '95 4Runner with holey exhaust on the inside. it was quick, but that was our general impression. The quickness was all it had going for it. The interior also seemed pretty small for the size of the car.

I’m sure Its junk by current standards, but I grew up in K-cars, and as far as mass produced dodge family sedans go, there’s nothing wrong with the charger.

Can stop you. Even the V6 makes very good power.
Just get one with a HEMI badge and we can stay friends.

Heck yeah.
My first car was a 94 Dodge Shadow ES V6. Once stolen too.

I’ll let him identify himself, but I recently met another oppo in person who daily’d a previous gen Charger. He did not seem to care for it and wants to sell it.

Dodges have improved (a tiny bit) since they divorced Daimler-Mercedes, and joined Fiat. Not a lot but, it is step in the right direction.

Don’t forget the Cop ECU.

I’ll tell you my dad specializes in Toyota and Lexus but doesn’t mind working on Jeeps, Dodges, and Chrysler because the average RO is nearly double what any other cars is.

Do it! The interior upgrades along from the 1st gens are worth the price over those. I have a Magnum SRT, and what I wouldn’t give to have the interior upgraded to that spec or newer.
