I just bought an E39 M5 for $4000. It has 204k on it and a muffler delete and -BRAAAAAAAP-. It’s fast. It drives. I love it. It needs work though, tires and brakes and a worrying pull to the right. It was listed at 6500 and I think I got a deal.

That’s fantastic and all, but what’s the blast radius so that I can stay outside it?

Yes the “-BRAAAAAAAP-” was very accurate.

I just bought a Bimmer on a budget as well. High mileage and it’s louder than my Honda. Except mines an entry level 3er.

Five bucks says that this thing will be a bitch to fix up, but i can’t help but say i am extremely jealous of your purchase man. E39's rock.

I’m sure I’ll read about it on m5board soon enough (hint hint) but what’s wrong with it? A pull to the right might be related to the brakes, but it’s likely an alignment issue from the last owner drifting the hell out of it into a curb or pothole, etc. Which, fair. Wouldn’t anyone?
M5 was my dream car growing up too. After three E39 540s I’ve got an Dinan-enhanced spitting E60 parked outside and it’s still my dream car. Quite a bit more quiet than yours by the way. I’ve got more of a chainsaw with the 8,500 rpm redline. Super fun in a tunnel!
*man hug*

Even with those miles, you stole it. I'm calling the police.
