Yeah, you could get the Colt through either Dodge or Chrysler-Plymouth dealers. A kid I went to high school with had one, he mounted a Mack truck hood ornament on it and painted like half the interior neon green, because early ‘00s.

I thought they were handles for the Secret Service to hold on to.

I remember seeing one of these in a parking lot of a bank that was behind the house we lived in when I was in high school. There was a surprising number of Colt variants: the Premier sedan you posted, the 3- and 5-door hatches (5-doors were rare though)

the Colt 4x4 wagon (that was NOT the Colt Vista)

and the Colt Vista.

The handicapped spots are for the driver/passengers, not the car.

My dad’s commuter, then my mom’s around towner was an 86 (I think) Colt Hatchback. Stick. Vinyl. Radio delete. AC delete.

I was lucky enough to be given one of the family cars when I got my license, and I really wanted the Colt. Baller mileage, stick shift funsies, and I could add a radio. I got the 89 Taurus, which I don’t remember complaining about the Taurus, although that Colt was reliable as anything, good in the snow, and RED.

And, in Canada, the 4x4 wagon was sold as the Eagle...Vista. Just to confuse the issue more.

EDIT: I’m sorry, not the 4x4 wagon, but the sedan AND the Colt Vista were sold as the Eagle Vista.

Ahh, a Colt survivor. Never saw many of the sedans; more hatches and Vistas.
