dang, that’s a new low for auto shows. Those are not like super easy to take off either. A couple bucks on eBay for new ones. This sucks >:(

The day a car is left on concrete blocks with its riyumz missing, I’ll be impressed.

It took me forever to get mine off the back with lots of swearing and at least one chip taken out of the paint around it. How the hell did they not 1) get caught, and 2) seemingly not damage the paint???

I wonder if they used a suction cup or something. They may be easier to remove nowadays.

It’s either somebody stole all the shift nobs off the Miatas or the show people took them off to prevent such fuckery

When I worked for Mits we’d buy the auto show cars and they’d always be missing shift knobs and radio knobs and gas caps and other weird shit.

Manufacturer paid for them, and to buff out all the scratches from assholes with chain wallets.

They normally take them off for that very reason.

Sorry dude. That’s real ghetto/white trash shit and my town (Manhattan) has been mostly above that for the last 15 years or so. Nice Bimmers are as common as bleached blondes here. Many M’s park overnight on the street on my block unmolested. That’s gotta be the work of some yoer who came in from abroad (NJ or Pa) for the show. A few years back I was convoying with my buddy to a huge outdoor show. He was in his new California, Ferrari red of course. As we pulled into the grassy parking area a guy said ‘great car, but you oughta know my friend lost a Winged Victory off his Rolls here a few months ago.’ It’s a shame when your fellow car lovers are also your enemies.

ugh, we had techs and salesman out this year to basically play as security for our Mercedes and Volvo. Sad it’s gotten that bad

The rims were to throw you off the scent, you should really be looking under the hood because they’ve stolen the engine!

But if they took of the badge to prevent it from being stolen, why is the M badge still present, those seem to be just as likely to be stolen.

explains all the stolen shift knobs and volume controls. I actually thought they came like that so manufactures ensured people wouldn't play with their cars
