Issue is, looking at their site, it is $399/day on a mustang GT (though I looked in CA).

What an obscene amount of money for that car.

Plus mileage, probably. Ridiculous.

Yup. WTF. Does anyone actually rent those? That and if you’re spending 399 on the mustang, you may as well spend the 450-499 on a Porsche.

Personally? I think the entire American Pony Car thing is overrated. Mustang, Camaro, Hellcat. A Tesla P85D would probably beat them all and stay on the road a lot better.

Depends on the model really. There’s no way the P85 will keep up with a GT350 or the Z/28 on a curvy track, only in a bit of a straight line and only up to a limited speed.

AWD, traction control, all that instant torque. One thing is certain: the P85D would be a lot more forgiving. If I had the dough, though, I’d want the non-D model with RWD SOS I could drift.
