If you ever do this and you would like them out quicker put your forearm into the adam’s apple instead of the crook of your elbow.
what you saw above became a blood choke, very effective but you get almost instantaneous results when you’re crushing a dude’s wind pipe.
Yes I know from experience.

yeah I’m not a fan of a rear blood choke, especially in an escalated situation like this one. On the mat I’ll take what I get. But I would have had this guy coughing and sputtering in under a second if I went for the air choke.
Another nifty trick with that rear air choke across the wind pipe is to push your shoulder into the back of their head as you pull in with your arm. Forces even more pressure on the neck/windpipe.

Probably. I’m actually a 3rd Degree Brown Belt in Judo.
I was a teaching assistant at Michigan State for the Judo classes when I was there.
And I just signed up for the course as basically a “gym class” elective and got hooked.
Never done MMA, I’m a big fan of not being punched in the face lol
I will warn you, be careful with the shoulder push, it’s vicious and VERY effective.

This was a bit hard for me to watch. Yesterday I got stuck on an escalator not knowing a gang fight was about to break out between guys on the platform and the guys at the other end of the (very corwded) escalator. The screaming back in forth quickly turned into guys — teenagers really — pulling out guns and waving them around. Lot of frightened old women were getting knocked over as they were running up and down the escalator and stairs and it really looked like shots would be heading in my general direction from both sides.
Interestingly one of the guys was also shirtless. I think it got ripped off before I walked in completely unaware that it was going to get exceptionally real.

Hello from Oakland! This actually happened in SF (at Civic Center station which will not surprise anyone familiar with the place) but it was Oakland gangs mixing together by accident which wouldn’t happen in Oakland for obvious reasons.
I slept especially well after the adrenaline crash and 4-5 cocktails.
