Feels great. Someone remind me of this when it’s 110 in the shade and I have to mow this summer.
Pulling weeds and re-mulching the flower beds on Saturday, and spreading some “weed and feed” on the yard. The dead spots and overtaking of weeds are not acceptable. Lord help me, I’m turning into that stereotypical old married guy who freaks out about his yard.
No, I just don’t want it overtaken by clover. And right now, it is. Clover and crab grass. Yuck. At least I have a truck now, so going to get mulch will be easier (and less messy).

Ha, I might just have to shovel snow again.
I still have about 2 feet of snow on my lawn.

I’d kill for a driveway that size.

One good thing about semi rural Kentucky! Land itself is fairly plentiful, although the city is encroaching on the rest of the county at a pretty high rate.

Might be a fungus or grubs causing the dead spots. Check your soil pH too. Nothing wrong with becoming a Hank Hill with your lawn.

I’m jealous! I really enjoy mowing the lawn, but sadly the California drought and water restrictions really destroyed any bit of green I had on my land. Now combine that with the wet elnino winter I have foot tall weeds where I used to have grass. I took the weed trimmer to it this weekend but it still looks like shit. My only consolation is the whole town looks the same

I couldn't believe how bad the weeds were! I don't venture into the backyard much in the winter. I did yesterday and the weeds were almost knee high! I was embarrassed. Luckily, thanks to the privacy fence, no one can see back there. Except the dog. Whom I should apologize to since she's had to go to the bathroom in weeds taller than her...
