Sometimes I look at slices of my life and realize it can’t get much better. My mundane Sunday errands ended just in time for me to jump on the Duke and meet some friends to watch the MotoGP race. Within minutes of putting Milk in the fridge I was engrossed in the pinnacle of Motorcycle racing. Simply put, sitting outside in 74 degree weather eating barbecue and watching MotoGP didn’t suck.

I arrived just in time to see the replays of Iannone spill and immediately felt sad. As fast as he was in the preseason and I was excited to see him contend for a podium. Once Lorenzo was out front, he stayed there. The. Entire. Race. This made the middle part quite boring to watch. This is about the time we all noticed that the new tires seem to be rewarding smoothness. The riders and machines looked like they were at a track day just puttering around. There was a distinct lack of lucid slides into corners or Stoner style powerslides out. In the end the new tires made the racing a little less interesting to watch.

I was very skeptical to see if the French rubber would last an entire race. With two laps to go my question was answered as Lorenzo broke the lap record. I guess this was Lorenzo’s way of giving a big middle finger to the people that said the new tires wouldn’t last. I happen to be a Lorenzo fan, so this didn’t phase me, but no one else was even close enough to challenge the man. Dovi was leading the “second pack” with Marquez hot on his heels and Rossi rounding out the group. When the race actually became interesting it was in the last few laps. Marquez started to challenge Dovi for second.

I know what you’re thinking, Dovi is no match for Marquez, right? I thought the same thing, and I was WRONG! Marquez did manage to make a pass, but within a lap, Dovi just motored by the young man like he was standing still. With that power of the Ducati and some amazing lines, Dovi was on top of his game and secured second place. Rossi was never dropped from the group, but was not within striking distance of Marquez or Dovi. With a nearly 12 second gap we saw Dani Pedrosa lead the emerging talent of Marverick Vinales for 5th and 6th, respectively.

Easy and simple: I open the game, you churn the numbers, he does up the results and summary. We may be starting with just a few players now, but we can still gather up more as we go.

I’m good with that.
though Joker very nearly took a straight flush over the weekend. if MAQ hadnt passed, he would have gotten pole, 1,2,3, AND the wipeout (though someone else corrected guess the 2 crashes and the order they came in)
