Well, new to us at least. It’s a 2013 Civic EX-L. Leather, sun roof, heated seats, the works. Just a shade ocer 30k on the clock. Plenty of room for the three kids in the back. We had a shot at an Si but it sold while we were out of town. I think she’ll like this better anyway, especially since she commutes down I-35 every day, which means that it is a slowly moving parking lot. As it was 35 in Austin this morning, she’s already used the heated seats. We’re going to hold on to the 01 Golf at least for a while. I still like driving it, and I’m going to get it cleaned up and start fixing it piecemeal, brakes first. I’d still like to have a manual for my oldest son to learn on when the time comes. And I’ll get to drive the Civic from time to time. I just can’t smoke cigars in it.....

Looks nice. Should be a good commuter car. My former supervisor had one and it was great on gas.

It’s super comfy, great visibility, peppy enough. We test drove a 2016 Civic and I hated it. Too big, too mushy, didn’t like the CVT. The 2013 was the last your you could still get a normal automatic transmission. This 2013 still feels like you could toss it around a bit if you wanted to.

Thanks. On an entirely unrelated note, I think you said that your dad does watch repair. Can I ask you a question off the grid? You can drop me an email at

Sure thing, just don’t give my email address to any Nigerian royalty. I bailed the prince out a while back and he still hasn’t paid me back.

Don’t worry. I only work with Russian mail-order brides and penis pills.

I would never give my wife a whip. She’d beat me senseless! Shit. She may have already. I’m already rambling!
Mine just picked up a 2016 Durango. Supersized child crawler. I loves it.
