Just look at it. It’s so goddamn big, it’s got a big V8, you can get it in RWD, and I want one. Badly. You could probably fit the entire population of Poland, just in the middle row, and still have plenty of room for people to move about.
I’d settle for the GMT800, if I needed too. With the GMT800, I’d prefer a Duramax swapped one. All that wonderful torque.

Nope. I totally want a suburban too. Though I want one of these with a modern v8 swap

Damn, the 400 with a 6.6 Dirtymax would be nice. Normally I hate the 90s body style but it would be cool to have that big ass comfortable barge with a modern amount of diesel power.

No, seeing as the above one is my dream car.

Square body’s are the best

Some pictures to fan the madness. Vortec 454 with an intercooled protech supercharger on 7psi, tubular headers and dual 2.5 inch exhuast. Scary steering and thirsty but fun.

I have a GMT800, but really want a ‘400

400 infinetely greater than 800 due to barn doors

I hate SUVs but love Suburbans. I’ve been looking at them for a few years but my price range (it’d be a toy or extra car) has me in the 175,000+ mile range.

too bad it's a smokers car

That is a valid argument.

To me, the Suburban is like a really big truck based station wagon, which is technically what the OG Suburban back in the 30s was.

A supercharged Suburban sounds like one of the greatest things ever.

The guy who did ours had a crate 502 with the same supercharger on his, that thing was nutty

You should seek out a good Holden Suburban from Down Under and import it since it definitely falls under the Canadian 15 year rule (assuming you’re in Canada) and the amber indicators, Chevy Blazer RHD interior, and lion-on-a-rock badge should do plenty to confuse everyone around you. Plus they can be had with the 6.5L Detroit Diesel with a whopping 194 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.

There are a few on Gumtree, but they’re all around 20 grand AUD, which is about 20 grand CAD, as our dollars are about the same. This red one with the roo’ bar is absolutely bitchin’ though.

That’s what I tell my wife - take any SUV, put car size tires on, bring them down to a normal ride height and they would be great wagons

I had a 79 suburban with a 454, missing (rusted off) exhaust, and a hole in the driver's side floor pan that allowed exhaust straight into the cab. It was blue white and rust and fit many cases of beer for tailgating. I have no point here, just wanted to tell you that I survived that vehicle.

The 6.5L was available in North American GMT400 ‘Burbans, too. At least, it was in Canada.

Can’t watch this video on my phone for some reason. Here's a 2500

The late eights nose/lights, amber tail lights, and dash with the 90s GM bits rearranged? nah. IMO the Amber looks stupid and you can get the Chevy/GMC Suburban GMT400s with the 6.5L Detroit in the 1500 (very rare) and 2500. Me personally I like the same color grill and bumper. But its still nice to have the chrome too (my k1500 below)

My best friends mom had a ‘92 with the 350. I loved that truck, I’m sad it’s no longer around. It cemented me need for one, one day

Early 800s could be had with barn doors.

It was available in the US as well. Pretty rare option though.

Not wrong. Oh so right. In many ways the 800 is superior to the 400, but they are both extremely awesome.

GMT800 had barn doors, too.
Rare, but could be found.
