Feels weird to not be as active in the Oppo community as I once was, so I’m going to make a regular thing of checking in on Fridays to see how everyones week was. You can stretch your responses back to include the previous weekend since that’s when the highlights occur for most people.
As for myself I’m on an unusual schedule that has me not doing too much over weekends, and being out and about during the week. The upside is being able to get shit done in less crowded environments, the downside is not being on the same timeframe as the majority of my friends. Ah well, there’s always time for hanging out and bullshitting one way or another I suppose.
Anyway, this past week I drove an Audi RS7 Performance, so that was fun. Absolutely in love with the wheels, and exhaust note, though that should go without saying.

I also picked up an 2016 Acura RDX to test out for a week, and so far it has proven to do all the basic things you’d want a crossover to do, and do them while keeping you quite comfortable. This weekend I intend to find out if the sportiness that Acura is hyping up in ads is even remotely existent.
Oh, I almost forgot, I started my new gig contributing to Bold Ride! Hope that you’ll take a moment to check out some of the pieces I’ve written. Just daily news stuff at this point, but I’ll have some reviews, and long form essays coming up in the next couple of weeks.

Other than that, not much of note to report. The sprained pinkie finger(from basketball) is starting to feel better, and I had a couple pints of the black stuff last night with friends, so overall, it was a good week.
How was yours?

I spent the week in Michigan in a base Charger. It was pretty nice, but it's good to be back in my R/T. I now remember why I love V8s so much. The pentastar v6 has almost 300hp, but it just doesn't have that same relaxed demeanor around town as the hemi.

Busy. I am 2 months in managing a new engineering team. Lots of huge projects are coming to boil at the same time. There are lasers and millions of dollars involved. I kid you not. I met with a VP for a job well beyond my pay grade, but what the hell. why not? We had a wonderful St Patrick’s day dinner at home. My wife made corned beef, rutabaga, lamb stew, soda bread and there was whiskey. I put in for a GM spot that I have a pretty good chance of getting, so there is that. I also hit the gym each work day morning. Pretty good week, but most are. I work hard to make sure they are.

Figured out how to fit my summer tires on my Miata. Had to adjust the suspension a few times to make it fit. Just found out its supposed to snow a bunch on Sunday. Of course it is the first day of spring!

60 hour work weeks can be quite profitable but leave little in the way of time for other things. On the plus side I’m considering using a good chunk of said profit to throw parts at one or both of my cars, which is always fun. Conversely, I’m semi-actively shopping for a house and/or farm to build equity in, which might hamper future car spending a bit. Guess I’d better buy parts while I still can. :)
I did get out for a bit of a cruise with some fellow Oppos last Saturday though, which was cool .

The usual. Working on getting my caravan up and running again. Died for the 1st time in 20 years. Im narrowing it down to the crankshaft sensor / and found a wire bundle rubbing on top of the driveshaft.
Im getting no spark, which is what the PCM reads from the CPS in order to fire the plugs.

Sounds like you had a great week man, I got back to the gym myself, and got a friend who needs to be in there to come with me, always clears the mind.
Lasers and millions of dollars involved huh? Are you working for a Ernst Stavro Blofeld?

Putting parts on is always a great feeling, but building equity in a property will probably feel 10 times as good. Hopefully will be at that point in the next couple of years myself!

A follow up on a previous project. We found the RPGs to be unreliable.
Actually, there are some complicated processes involved, but it is pretty cool.
