I was thinking about you recently! I have a question for you regarding a product you’ve told me about in the past.

Windshield protectors, what company should I look at? I’m very seriously considering clear wrapping my R129 and I want to at minimum protect the front windshield.

From my experience, it really depends on your preference of protection vs. distortion. The two products that I’ve had experience with are Clearplex and Suntek. The Clearplex is what I always use on my vehicles and is a far bit thicker than Suntek and therefore protects your windshield from a greater number of objects. However, as a result of it being thicker, it also is a bit harder to install and can cause distortion. So, if you’re looking for a good product that will protect your windshield and has a lower chance of distortion, then I would say go with Suntek. However, if you have a terrific, experienced Clearplex installer near you and want the best protection for your windshield (at least to my knowledge) then go with Clearplex.

I haven’t used Suntek in a while but have friends that still use it and enjoy it. Also, in case you’re wondering, the cost for the Clearplex on my GTs’ windshields was about $600 (product and labor) each.

I know that Diamond Fusion is another option but have heard mixed reviews about it, so I can’t really comment on that.

Hope this helps.

Definitely helps, Ill see if there are any installers near me. My priority is 100% protection. The windshield has already been replaced once, would rather not do it again (rain sensing, blah blah).

Thanks!

Tires with a treadwear of 20 are just mental. The fact that the wing is wider than my whole car is even more insane. Props to Dodge.

Quick question - a fellow Opponaut thinks that you have a 918 based on your previous post - is this true?

I would edit my comment, but Kinja won’t let me. Anyway, I’m dumb for not reading the comments. I apologize for being so nosy.

I agree. An amazing achievement all around.

That’s a strong possibility. Haha
