Why do people do this? The people that don’t know don’t care, and the people that know just think you are an idiot.

Maybe it’s supercharged

Maybe its Procharged? Benefit of the doubt. I had an “Intercooled” badge on my first XJ that was laying around from an old turbo kit for a friend’s car.

You just don’t get it
It’s a nod to his old beloved benz. It’s kind of like in memory of Kompressor

If he’s added a turbo it’s all good in my books. He’s gone beyond debadging. He’s not only hidden the turbo, he’s cast doubt on the Denali badge and the 6.2 that comes with it. He’s undermined his credibility completely by fitting a badge from a different manufacturer while choosing a badge that accurately describes his engine. Therefore even more people will be surprised when he turns all four wheels into rubber crumbs and a few steel threads off the line.
Of course, we know this isn’t the case, I’m just playing devils advocate.

I don’t know how this is ever done non-ironically. (source: I had an Autozone DUB edition badge on my orange resprayed Cavalier back in the states because why not? I was amused at the time.)

I can’t say for certainty but it looked and sounded 100 stock.

Sure, I can understand that. I’ve been tempted more than once to get hybrid badges for my land cruiser

You get the hybrid badges, I’ll get V12 badges for my 1.3 Polo.

pass anything but a gas station. Seriously, with the 3.83 rear end and the procharger being geared towards mid-range the 60-governed limit time was shockingly quick. like, oh hey I’m doing 60, imma floor it annnnnnnnd 99 mph.

I’m assuming it was on a Vortec 5.7? Sounds like a blast.

Yeah, it was a lot of fun, tubular headers, to twin 2.5 inch exhaust too, something like 400 hp and 600+ lbs-ft.

I hope it's ironic, but it's hard to tell sometimes....I saw a beat to shit cube van with a Brabus badge on the back, that made me happy

I’m assuming he did it ironically. It lets me maintain faith in humanity.
