Pie day you say. That’s cute.

We had pie week last week in the U.K. from 7th to 13th of March.

You can’t just have one day dedicated to pies. There are way too many pies to just enjoy them on one day.

You can’t rush a good pie. Take your time.

Savour the flavour.

Especially a succulent game pie.

Though for tonight I’ll enjoy a nice Guinness pie with a glass (few) of Guinness.

Why would you have pie week without including pie day? Is it like a lead up to it, so it’s really 8 days of pie eating?

I’m happy to take part in other cultures

7 days of pie week in the U.K.

1 day of pie day in the U.S.A.

= 8 days and that’s only two countries.

There are over 200 countries in the world, there must be more pie days, weeks or MONTHS to come.

That’s assuming everyday isn’t pie day BUT IT IS. YAY. PFTW (pies for the win).

Well, pi is an irrational number... That is to say, you can’t make the number out of a combination of whole numbers in a fraction. You can only approximate it.

Okay. Out of curiosity. There are several posts with ‘pie day’ and some with ‘pi day’, which is it?

Pi ~ 3.14159

Pi day / Pie day is celebrated on 3/14 by math geeks who observe it by eating pie. Yes, this requires using the American version of writing dates since the Euro system never has a date of 3/14. The past two years were especially celebrated as they were 3/14/15 which is pi to four decimals if you truncate and 3/14/16 which is pi if you round it to four decimals.

As to whether pi day or pie day is correct... I’ve got nothing. Though my wife did make an excellent blueberry pie last night.

Oh okay cool.

I’ll settle for our pie week but join in with crazy calendar pie day. After all we don’t as you say use 3/14 and there would be no date in the rest of the world’s format to celebrate on 31/4 as , aren’t 31 days in April.

I was always taught though that:

Pi was maths

Pie was absolutely tasty, fattening, tasty, amazing oh and something about a chart (less tasty).
