Remembering that couple that owns like 70 Dodge Vipers, I decided to do something a bit different tonight. Three car garage, all vehicles are available to you regardless of price, year, or country. The catch is that all three vehicles must be the same model , in the same bodystyle , of the same model year . This means the only difference in the three vehicles are the color combos, options, and trim levels.

Have fun and do remember that you can use options from other markets. In my experience, two is easy but the third spec is the trickiest one to decide on.

Ex.

2015 Aston Martin Vantage GT Coupe , 6-speed Manual, side “GT” decal delete

For puttering around town and the occasional AutoX

2015 V12 Vantage S Coupe , Auto, in red

For cruising and bombing down the highway.

2015 Vantage GT12 , in this white with orange accents. Mmmm!

For the casual track days and coffee dates.

Is the 675LT considered the same model as a 650S? If yes:

650S for colder/rainy days.

650S Spider for warmer days.

Theyre all convertibles with a removable hardtop. The R129 never had a solid top outside of gullwing concept that never saw production.

E400 for my DD

E63 4matic wagon for weekends which includes a snowboard rack and frequent trips to the mountain.

I would do all of this in wagon form but the US is stupid. If you can’t forgive my one transgression of making the fun car a wagon then we will just have to take the personality and uniqueness away from the other two and make them both E350 4matic wagons, with different trim and color options. Or pretend I’m not in the US and make them all wagons exactly as specified.

Ooh! A challenge!

For DD duties a 1971 Mustang Sportsroof with the 250 CI 6 cylinder. (1972 is pictured as H.B. Halicki destroyed all of the base models)

For the weekends a 1971 Boss 351 fits the bill.

And when you really want to prove your love for a bodystyle the 1971 Mach 1 429 Super Cobra Jet is as close to bleeding Grabber Blue as you can get!

They are excellent cars. Even the GTE is really fun to drive and the one that I’d dd while the GTD would make a great Autobahn cruiser and the GTI is fun around backroads.

I like this, but I’d go even crazier: e-Golf (4-door, all-electric, commuter), GTI (2-door, manual), and R (DSG? Manual?). I can count these all as the same body style because hatch, right?

Although there are some awesome cars this could be done with, here’s my Oppo garage based on my own car:

2016 Focus Electric (blue candy, because it’s an uncommon color that isn’t available on the others)

2016 Focus ST (ST3, white)

2016 Focus RS (RS2, white)

Electric is for commuting because save the dinosaurs. ST is for weekend drives. RS is for track and inclement weather.

Haha. I mean AWD with snow tires. I’d change the setup depending on the season. It’d have three sets of tires: Summer, track, and winter. In the winter it’d just have winters on. In the summer it’d have summers and track tires in the back.

Most of the time the firm suspension of the RS wouldn’t make it worth driving. Hell, the ST’s firm suspension is pretty annoying on our terrible roads here in the US.

Volvo seems to be very good for this challenge. Enter the V60.

The Diesel Plug-In Hybrid for daily duties, good for a combined 285 hp and a whopping 640 Nm of torque from its D5 five cyl turbo diesel and an Electric Rear Axle Drive!

The V60 Cross Country for all your soft-roading needs with its (mostly) AWD system and a 250 hp turbo five.

And a Polestar of course, with that lovely blue paint and the 345 hp turbo six going through all four wheels!
