It is not even 10:30am and I’m contemplating eating my lunch.

I'm all out of whack. I just started working permanently from home on Monday, so I hit the computer before 7am, then it might be 2-3 hours later and I realize I haven't eaten a proper breakfast yet. It's like a black hole. But so far, I love it.

I had some lovely tapas for lunch, 4 hours ago but I am on vacation in Barcelona.

Good for you. I envy people that can work from home. I do not have the discipline to do it.

I need you to be more specific on what you ate.

It’s not too bad if you have a dedicated space with a door. Half the time, the kids don’t even realize I’m here (which is good). The hardest part is accepting that upward mobility is very limited as a remote employee — traditional face-to-face politics and office time still trump everything else. But I consider this a short-term strategic move and I’m not complaining about the compensation or the commute...the weird hours, on the other hand...

Ugh tell me about it. I had solid meetings all morning and didn’t get a chance to eat breakfast. I’m skipping lunch too so I can head home a little early to pack for a trip tomorrow. I am gonna be hangry when I come home.
