Back in the day, still living with my folks as a 20-something, I’d drive an hour to work each day, and an hour home. I used to work some crazy hours, so sometimes I wouldn’t get home until very late. But i recall driving home in my 87 Galant, listening to this album after a long day. I’d turn onto the dirt road toward my folk’s house, roll down the windows, open the sunroof and sit on top of the car, and let my left foot do the steering as the car simply idled along. It was a long, straight, well-graded road, so it wasn’t a hard job. Plus, i knew every last bump in that road by heart.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

From my perch atop the midnight-blue Mitsubishi, I would look out at the universe and let my mind decompress from the day. It was exactly what I needed.

For the best listening experience, earphones and high-volume are suggested, though a car stereo and a clear night will do just fine.

Literally just read that on their Fb page about a minute ago... rejoice indeed!

I waited for a few hours outside a show they were playing in Austin last year, before the venue got shut down for violating max capacity. I was so disappointed. But hopefully, with this new album will come a new tour, and another chance to finally catch them live.

I may have seen them way back, but i’m not 100% sure. Need to look in to that.
