I always wondered if the drivers / co-drivers could hear the whistles, air horns and other noise makers by spectators.

This video doesn't get old.

This is the best. I love the rounded cages to at least give a chance of getting them back on the wheels. We need a truck class in North American rallying, right now.

Great video! I love me some oddball racing.

There’s a game called Spintires in which you drive soviet era trucks through the forest collecting logs. It’s pretty good. I was just thinking yesterday that it needs a racing mode!

Those external roll cages are really cool looking.

It’s not a REAL truck trial without 8x8's

That’s always a good way to start a Friday. The light pole at the end always makes me laugh.

I like how he makes sure to finish off the light pole by driving up the length of it

Is that you driving? Subaru? Great engine note.

How much do you know about this rally? How similarly prepared are those trucks? Are they performance modded?

Co-driving, and yeah. 2008 STI. Awesome car

Is co-driving your thing, or do you also drive? Six-plus, right jiggy-jiggy.

I like co-driving. Mostly because I know I could never be as fast as some of the people I sit with. Also I’d be terrified of making a stake and putting myself in severe financial ruin. I do have a desert truck I race every few years as a driver, but that’s a different experience entirely.

Before they canceled it because of terrorists, I enjoyed watching shows about the Paris to Dakar Rally. Special sort of obsession that project would take.
