Oppo, I Just Had a Dream!

I had a legitimate “dream” car for the first time in vivid detail! It felt so real that in the first 6 seconds of waking up I had to figure out if I owned three cars (I don’t...). But now I know exactly what my dream car is!

So in my dream, I still owned the same Jeep and Kia, parked in their spaces but I went to the car parked uncovered across from them. It pretty much looked like the grey with red interior Boxster Spyder pictured above, however it was a 911!

Don’t ask me how I know, but it was a midengined Carrera S (rather than a Boxster, no back seats still) with a powered hardtop and larger humps behind the driver and passenger. Like a McLaren 650s Spider if you were just looking at the mechanism.

The top was already down when I walked over to it (still parked in the same apartment complex I’m living in currently) and the car had a badge that read “911 RX.” Now I remember saying to myself, “What in the world is a 911RX?” Then just as quickly I answered myself with, “Don’t you remember it was a special edition offered 10 years ago?” So I bought this thing used in my dream (isn’t that something, I can’t even have a brand new car in my dreams) and was immediately about to post on Oppo, “Buy a 911 RX! Prices are below 25k!!!” Like it was a special edition that everyone in the world forgot about.

The only thing about the interior I remember is that it was red from behind, but the parts not visible from the angle of the top picture were a mix of whites and dark greys. The shift knob was this glassy red chrome thing which shined and glimmered but didnt have any glare. All three peddles were red chrome to match the shifter but with huge holes drilled into them like the brake rotors.

The coolest thing was that no one cared or noticed the car at all! It was obviously parked with the top down in a regular, uncovered space all the time. When I actually drove it, it was in traffic, top down, blipping and revving and crying with sheer love of the experience. No one on the street even looked or asked or seemed concerned. But I also remember that roads were clear. I tend to joy drive when I have Sundays off and it matched the Sunday 7am to 8am amount of light and quiet roads.

I want this car Oppo. I’m hoping it’s a premonition of a two seater Porsche 911 that somehow is a 911 Carrera S Spyder, at a Boxster Spyder price point, with 911R suspension and tires (don’t ask how I know) that nobody in the world wants because “not a real 911.” That thing is going to be mine!

I had a dream that I owned a silver Bentley Continental GTSpeed with a bench seat in front (!?!?!) and a yellow Ferrari F40 with a red interior.

Well that’s a great garage right there. Yesterday I was fantasing about whether I’d rather own and do 100,000 miles of track only driving in an F40 or an ACR. I remember being flown out to tracks to set records in the “highest mileage Ferrari of all time” because I became the fastest F40 driver in the world simply due to the amount of track time in it.

I had a dream that I was driving a V10 R8 with a gated manual and then stalled it. ;_;
