The March 1st Blizzard Is In Full Swing

The snowplows have given up for the night (none have driven by in the last 2 hours, and I live on a County Rd.), and shoveling is useless. Time to settle in and crack a few beers. We’re supposed to get 35-40cm (15 inches) by morning. I’m right in the heart of the snowbelt so, tomorrow will be an adventurous one to say the least. It’s closer to 20cm down Toronto ways. Some outlets are reporting we could get over two feet of snow in my area thanks to accompanying snowsqualls. But, we’ve gotten off easy this year so, we’re due. At least I stocked up on beer today!

We have had a very disappointing snow season. This storm has only dropped about 2-3 inches at best here (Detroit area). It’ll all be plowed and salted by morning and I won’t have any excuse to be late for work.

It’s so weird to see people talk about snow and not have any here. Last year it seemed to snow twice a day

I was on the road an hour ago, plowing hwy 89 with my lowered Golf, which was fun. Got at least a foot here so far, I think, and expecting another 6" or so tonight. I’ll be out before 6 to clear the driveway for our employees, hopefully the plows have run before then.
