Let us hope you’re only 50% correct. Audi stays, and peugeot returns.

Aren't there always Audi rumors this time of the year?

But how? OK, so I see them doing a Toyota and will copy Porsche’s setup, but then, their turbodiesel is quite strong in itself, and certainly can be mated to a hybrid that can really add a lot to the car (and even I think they can stick with diesel despite using a V6).

Then there’s the drivers. Loeb’s going to be there, for sure, as well as the other drivers from 2k7 to ‘11, but who else is a prospect?

Yes, but German suppositions and predictions are usually a little bit more informed than ours.

Well, VW management can’t justify the continuous battle between Audi and Porsche when the group has trouble after dieselgate. Justifying a very expensive race car that’s diesel powered, is even harder.

Maybe Porsche will pull out of GTE completely, and Audi will replace them there.

I’m not sure all former Peugeot drivers will be back. Some are driving for Toyota, some got older and Wurz retired.

Uh... OK, not like I think the R8 LMS isn’t good, but why get out when the car is still competitive and reliable?

Also... there’s still the question of how exactly can Peugeot pull it off.

Corporate economics. They limit the costs and keep two brands in WEC, rather than having Porsche do both LMP and GTE.

PSA’s financial situation is a lot better than it was when they left. If LMP1 costs are prevented from climbing too much, too fast, there is a big chance for them to come back.
