That is definitely the general idea of politics. I am right and you are wrong and you're also an idiot. Now leave my office I have more closed door deals to make.

How does the Kasich campaign advertise his speaking engagements?
He was on my campus a week or two ago and I had zero clue he was there until my Dad texted me hours later. I probably would have shown up if I knew he was there.

Where do you have to work in Charleston, because Charleston is one of the most beautiful cities on the east coast. At least the downtown and historic areas (I know North Charleston is poorer and not nearly as fancy...)...

That said, he is arguably the second most moderate of this election’s GOP (I’d say Jeb! is the most moderate of the GOP, but he sucks at selling himself)...so not everything would be bad.

He’s currently my Governor.. I’m not a big that he keeps touting how he balanced the state budget, when all he did was put the burden on the backs of the local governments, who essentially had to raise taxes/cut civil services, to balance their own budget. Other than that I think he’s a fantastic candidate (and I’m not even republican).. It’s a shame most of the debates have been going for “RATINGS! RATINGS! RATINGS!” instead of getting actual information out to the people.

I know what you mean. I am form Ohio as well. The municipalities have had to change up the budgets but I am not sure the state should have been doing all those programs in the first place.
As for the news coverage. Do not even get me started!

Sorry, I couldn’t resist. More than a joke, though, I was pointing out something that makes me profoundly sad: that a person like this who has spent so much of his life in office and has so much experience can’t get any attention for his candidacy. Instead, the political story has become like trash reality TV where people only talk about the most outrageous characters and whether they’ll get voted off the island. Elections have become more gawkerized than ever, and it makes me ill.

Ironically, one supports lbgt+ rights (Bernie) and the other (Trump) doesn’t necessarily support lbgt rights, but isn’t on a mission to strip lbgt+ people of rights like the rest of the GOP. He doesn’t even want to overturn the SCOTUS same-sex marriage decision. lol

YES. She can’t keep her stories and policies straight...changes them whenever polling would work in her favour. And as much as I’d love to see a female president, her reasoning (and this is her actual reasoning) of “because I’m a woman” is completely BS. Not only does it slap feminism and women across the world in the face, but it’s petty. lol

It takes more than just a woman to be a good president and she does not possess the desired qualities. Furthermore I think there’s a strong possibility she wouldn’t be where she is today with out a lot of back room dealing

What he failed to mention was that he was sued by a gay couple (while one of the men was dying of ALS) after Ohio refused to recognize their out of state marriage certificate following US v. Windor . Ohio lost and was forced to recognize their and other gay couples out of state marriage licenses. Obergerfell v. Kasich was the name of the lawsuit.

He said that, but do a Google search for Obergefell v. Kasich . Ohio refused to recognize the marriage license of a gay couple, who was forced to sue them while one spouse was dying of ALS. The couple ended up winning. I’d give it time before Trump starts gay bashing. He’s trying to court evangelicals after all.

Sure it's politics any republican would have done it. However not every republican respects the Supreme Court decision. Kasich does which is far more reasonable than most.

He says that, but the fact he was sued for not respecting a Supreme Court decision regarding gay marriage in the past indicates that, just like all politicians, he’s probably full of shit. Also, the fact that he seems reasonable solely because he says he won’t disregard Supreme Court decisions shows how batshit crazy this field of republicans are. And to say it's politics to not recognize the marriage certificate of a couple because they're gay is pretty disgusting. If those are his politics then he's just as out of touch with modern society as the rest of them.

And don’t let Trump fool you. He’s goin after every group he thinks he can attack in order to build support. Immigrants, Muslims...etc. They had two supporters of his on CNN the other day insinuating that Marco Rubio was gay and used it as an attack against him. I don’t support either party, but for dishonest as Clinton is, the Republicans are an absolute dumpster fire.
