Sorry for the lack of updates Oppo. I know it’s a bummer. Because a high school kid with a rusty Honda and very, umm, high aspirations for said Honda is very exciting reading material. All of you are on the edge of your seat to see what comes next, I can tell:) Accept for all he does is buy parts and set them next to the car and look at them and think about them going together all nicely. Like how it’s going to cars and coffee and it’ll be so cool and everyone will love it and it’ll drive and not overheat and it’ll make a little burble when you turn it on and it’ll burble down the road all day long. Burble burble burble! And then write about that.... I’m doing that aren’t I....
Here’s the catch! I haven’t even started building... I’m in the process of accumulating parts, and in MARCH I’ll start.
Sorry about the shit photos. It was with my cell phone and in the garage.
So far I’ve got a new carb, thermostat, radiator, therm gasket, and some misc. things. The rest of the big things are wheel bearings, timing belt, brake master cylinder, and some more big misc. things most likely.
So wish me luck oppo! I’ll keep writing when progress is made, and with all the free time that comes with summer, I’ll write more build updates and actual driving updates hopefully! Here’s a picture of my squirrel. She climbs around and helps me by bringing me peanuts, so I can’t leave her out of the build process.
Thanks again guys!

What a great car to work on ... you can point to everything and name it. Good times.

Tell us more about the albino squirrel, it kind of scares me.

Sweet! Haha, don’t feel bad about just accumulating parts. I’m in the process of doing the same thing. Although, while you’re waiting for parts, it is a great time to strip down the car.

Her name is daisy and if memory serves, they found her as a baby and pretty much hand raised her and wound up releasing her right before winter, and now she lives in a tree next to their house.

I had a ‘76 CVCC. If you’re not “from the era” you are going to be shocked how light it is-and how tiny its going to feel.

Yeah, it’s Daisy. She got kicked out of the nest because she was albino, so when we found her on the ground as a little peanut we brought her inside and put her in a box with some blankets. She lived with us for a few months until she grew out her indoor squirrel dwelling. So we made her a house and hung it in a tree. Now she lives in our yard and comes every morning for breakfast! She'll put peanuts in your pocket and stuff, it's cute

Well for this summer I'm just throwing on parts and driving it. Hopefully after summer I'll have a bigger budget and if that comes I'd like to do a full rebuild. Rust repair and frame stuff.

It is a tiny car! My other car is an NA Miata so I'm familiar with older tiny Japanese cars. By far my favorite genre of car
