The Slowrunner will be retired from it’s daily driver duty, and one of these in this color will replace it. That is the goal at least.
Also, I have a 12 hour night shift, so AMA, I’ve got nothing better to do.

What kind of mileage do you get
![]() 02/17/2016 at 20:59 |

Not knocking the ST but have you researched comparables?
![]() 02/17/2016 at 20:59 |

In the Slowrunner, 11-12. When everything was peachy with it, I was fine with that, but now that everything is going bad at once, it’s time to be a project/toy/boat hauler(IT WILL, STOP LAUGHING).

With the exception of maybe the Sonic RS(which is out of the question because reasons), there isn’t much to compare it to. Plus, after driving it in traffic, I knew it was the one. If I can enjoy it in traffic, I can enjoy it pretty much anywhere.

What out there is comparable to an ST? It’s kinda in a class of its own.
![]() 02/17/2016 at 21:14 |

Kind of but not really, the Sonic RS. Not going to happen, and I even can get a GM discount.

Moonroof or no moonroof? Recaros or not?
Also, autocrossing at the Nascar track in Darlington this weekend on the 21st, 8am to 4pm.

It’ll be 3.5-4 months before this will happen lol. But if I have to order it, it will be: Kona Blue w/ Orange Recaros(I like the craziness of it), moon roof, no nav, and rado gray wheels. But I’ll definitely autox it, but after it’s broken in.

I don’t recommend the moon roof if you have head clearance issues and if you don’t like a slightly higher center of gravity.
Also, three meet-ups this Friday and Saturday. Friday’s the cruise to Knead Pizza with Metro and ProAuto . Saturday’s Cars and Coffee at Carmike Cinemas at 8am and the Saturday and chill pt.2 at 3pm.

I guess it depends if he's buying new or CPO. GTI is what comes to mind.

I’ll be asleep Friday, and I have CWP class Saturday, so I guess those are a no go for me. I have about an inch of clearance with the seat all the way up, and quite a bit of room with it on the floor. I checked that when I test drove the one at Dick Smith, though it had standard seats.

I’m going with new, so that would be a bit out of budget.

Dude!!! That’s sweet!

I just hope everything goes as planned.
![]() 02/17/2016 at 21:47 |

will you still keep the 4Runner?
![]() 02/17/2016 at 21:48 |

Yeah, while I currently hate it, I’m kind of attached to it. Plus, I’ve always wanted a project car, and it is one now.

1UZ! 1UZ! 1UZ! 1UZ! 1UZ!
![]() 02/17/2016 at 21:52 |

Eventually maybe, but now that it won’t be my daily, it’ll just stay a 3.slow. Plus, the engine is one of the few things that works right lol.

*sad trombone*

Awesome color choice, looks like it'll be a sweet car.

I didn’t like it as much as performance blue(or whatever it’s called) until I saw it in person. Pictures don’t do it justice. I think I’ll be happy. Plus, 197/202 in a 2700 lbs car sounds a lot better than my current 150/180 in a 4100 lbs truck.

Since my gaskets were done right, it should be perfectly fine for a while. Plus, it has the perfect amount of power in sticky situations.

What kind of night job? Security?
![]() 02/17/2016 at 22:28 |

I’m an environmental technician. We are doing a groundwater cleanup event right now, and the machine goes for 96 hours straight. So I have Wed/Thurs night shift, which is a 12 hour shift.

Aw yiiissss, another ST bro joins the Oppo-ning. “One of us. gooble gobble.”

Too bad you can’t consult on the problems in Flint at $500 an hour as I have heard some well connected former FEMa-turned private contractors are doing......

Not yet, but soon!
![]() 02/17/2016 at 23:17 |

Yeah, that would be nice. Too bad none of the workers will see much of that, it’s just the business owners.

Damn, everyone is abandoning me in Toyota Land.
![]() 02/17/2016 at 23:27 |

I’ll still have mine on the side. I need something to go off-road with, do outdoor stuff with, and have actual space to haul things.
![]() 02/17/2016 at 23:32 |

In all seriousness, congrats on the future goal car!
![]() 02/17/2016 at 23:33 |

Thanks! Hopefully you can get a BJ73 soon!

Oh wow, that sounds miserably boring. Do you get to sit inside a trailer or something at least?

This view all night, along with the rattle of two diesel engines.
![]() 02/18/2016 at 00:37 |

But yes, it is miserably boring.

Also, I currently drive an old, lifted Toyota, so I likely wouldn’t notice the slightly higher center of gravity.
