Also, if anyone knows how to clean off old weather stripping on a bed liner, for the love of God, please reply. Got pretty far but the sticky shit is stubborn as hell.

Lol, Cat Zoidberg takes great pleasure in your suffering.
I saw a yellow shortbed version of your truck today. Thing was so rusty.

It won’t come off. Solution: Give it to me.

Never letting go of this bad boy. If it blows up tomorrow, I’ll turn the bed into a trailer.

Cool thanks! Tried some good off but it was all “lol no"

i’m suprised that doesnt happen more often. If i had the capability, I would find all the decent trucks in scrap yards and turn them into trailers to sell. I would think things like Econoline vans would be good like that too

Use ice and freeze it off

Maybe heat it up? I have no idea.

Is it like a cheap roll-on like Herculiner or more robust spray on like a Rhino/Line-X?
Xylene will do the cheap stuff. Heatgun helps. You’ll need a grinder, heatgun/torch, and aircraft stripper otherwise. At some point you might want to cut your losses and take it to a spray-on place as most have the equipment to effectively remove them as well.
Goo Gone will give that weather stripping crap a beat down in a lot of cases. Heat will help. Otherwise try 3M Adhesive Remover. Autozone and whatnot prob have it. If not see if you find and pay for some from a body shop.
All these things are flammable, so don’t be dumb with heatguns or torches. Think about a good paint facemask as breathing is important...well to me at least.

this was the only example I could find. I would have cut it after the doors

Rub the cat on it.

Thanks! It’s the shitty roll on stuff. Wasn’t waterproof so I’m cleaning it off and putting on a new gaskety thingie

The problem is that truck bed trailers tow like shit.

He's clearly a managerial cat. His responsibilities include looking important and busy. And reminding you if you've missed a spot.

Why is that?. I’d guess they would be heavier

I understand the obsession. Though I would just put in another engine. Preferably something more powerful, like a lawnmower engine.

The 3M stuff *shouldn’t* remove paint. It’s kind of the point. Lots of new cars have glued on weather stripping everywhere that’s impossible to remove. Xylene will though, and aircraft stripper obviously. So act with care.

My Tercel which had 64hp felt faster than this truck.

The BRAT that my Dad bought me to learn to drive in, with all of 67hp, would destroy the Slowrunner in a race.

You and I should race. Preferrably not on a slight incline.

Let me fix my wheel bearings first, and it’s a race. If I leave now, I’ll be there in a few weeks.

It would be fun to drive cross country though, since gas is cheap.

make sure the area is well ventilated and no open flames/sparks. alternative is acetone (though it may eat through the bed liner). Also wear heavy gloves and mask.

The weight balance is really screwy on them. Also, most of the time the builders leave the suspension stock. Which means empty it rides like it has no suspension, and it takes a lot of weight to make them tow even halfway decent.

Might try goof off. That’s what we used for removing crap in construction. How it fairs on automotive paint underneath...no idea. Probably not that well.
One day I washed my car only to have our cat (meowasaurus wrex) step in a puddle then jump on the hood walk up the windshield, over the car and off the trunk. Thanks Meowasaurus.

That’s what happened to my work pickup. Wet paws prints all over the interior, cloth seats... feh! Cats.
