The fact that everyone is looking at something else?

The exposure, to name one thing.

Good guess, and under normal circumstances that would be true. But in this case they’re looking at Ron McNair’s Riley aero engined special, which is the right choice:

Can’t argue with that! “in” rather than “with” was carefully chosen...

Exposure. Maybe a quicker shutter speed will fix it.

The behind the seat finitions and the exhaust make it look like a kit-car really... other than that, I don’t know. What is the car in the first place?

The severe lack of Fiats.

Can’t argue that, really.

Looks like disc brakes with no callipers, but that’s just me

I’m going with the windscreen.

Considering how old the car is, it’s most likely drums on all 4 corners...

The windshield? C-types don’t really have that kind of windshields right?

Its probably a perspective trick, but My brain keeps insisting the steering wheel is on the right, and the only seat is on the left.

It’s drums. Early C types had drum brakes - discs only came in for the ‘53 Le Mans race.

Jag C Type replica. The exhaust and cockpit are correct - real ones actually are like that.

AFAIK, no, though I gather there were a lot of screen variants. That doesn’t look much like a low drag racecar screen though, does it.
The other, more serious, departure from accurate is the door. C Types didn’t come with passenger doors.
Coventry Classics make excellent replicas, and will do you one that is millimetre-correct to original drawings in all respects, or “upgrade” it however you like. Looks like this owner’s chosen some upgrades - though oddly hasn’t gone for disc brakes, which are one of the defining features of the C type as well as a safety improvement: go figure.
I can understand trading off accuracy for convenience in a replica up to a point - for example if I had one it sure as hell wouldn’t have a bladder type fuel tank - but for me the screen and door are a compromise too far. It’s not a DD ferchrissakes: wear goggles and teach the passenger to hop over the side!

You win half an internetz.
Windscreen (probably) and passenger door: C types only had a drivers door. Nice replica in other respects though: the owner’s just made some practicality upgrade choices that I wouldn’t have.

thought so. didn’t think I’d ever seen one with a full on windscreen, just brooklands screen(s). the windscreen doesn’t help things either.

They did come with a full width windscreen, but it was a wraparound job:
As far as I know there was never a “plank of glass stolen off an MGTF” option.
