I got new shoes, it doesn;t feel like every street is made of ice.
I celebrated by treating the car to a couple snownuts
unfortunately I cant take a step forward without taking a couple steps back.
they were unable to do the alignment because the tie rod bolts were frozen.
and one of the toe bolts in the rear was busted up
They said the bolts have probably never been adjusted
so add all that to the list. But I have grip finally

All the 02 Sensors
AC Blower Motor (No AC)
Heater core (No heat)
Probable boost leak
Power steering pump
Catalytic converter
Timing belt desperately needed. (Unclear if the original owner ever did it.) Also note that he was a doctor with plenty of money to at least service the car at the dealer.
That’s well over $8,000 worth of work that I’m not willing to do.
The Jetta isn’t super fast, but it gets good fuel economy and the heat/ac works.

Had a similar situation on my first B5 A4. Of course, some idiots replaced the rack and re-used the old, worn out tie rods. These suckers were cross-threaded and iirc just spinning in the rod end.

Yea I’m not really feeling it either. I don’t think I’ve recovered yet from the crazy BS amount of snow we got last year.
